1. The Membership Covenant

J.O.B. Church (“J.O.B.,” “the Church,” “we,” or “us”) is a religious nonprofit organization incorporated under Section 508(c)(1)(A) of the Internal Revenue Code. By becoming a member, you enter into a voluntary spiritual covenant with J.O.B. and its community.

What you commit to:

  • Engaging honestly with the J.O.B. Doctrine and its 12 beliefs as a framework for personal exploration — not as dogma, but as living practice
  • Participating in community life: your Braid (small group of three), Sunday Night Live gatherings, and/or Deprogramming tracks as you are able
  • Contributing financially through voluntary, recurring donations at a level that feels honest and sustainable to you
  • Treating fellow members, Elders, and staff with respect, honesty, and care
  • Honoring the confidentiality of what is shared in Braids, tracks, Elder sessions, and community spaces
  • Taking responsibility for your own wellbeing, seeking professional support (therapy, medical care, crisis services) when needed

What J.O.B. commits to you:

  • Providing a community grounded in the 12 beliefs, dedicated to the work of being human
  • Offering programming (gatherings, tracks, Braid facilitation, Elder sessions) with care and integrity
  • Protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy
  • Being transparent about how donations are used
  • Never requiring specific financial contributions as a condition of spiritual participation — the suggested amounts are invitations, not mandates
  • Creating and maintaining safer spaces for vulnerability, grief, play, and transformation

2. Nature of Services

J.O.B. provides religious, spiritual, educational, and experiential programming. J.O.B. is not a licensed mental health provider, medical provider, or therapeutic practice. Our offerings — including Deprogramming tracks, Elder sessions, Braid groups, Magic Shows, and gatherings — are spiritual and educational in nature.

Elders are spiritual guides and mentors, not licensed therapists or counselors. Elder sessions are spiritual mentorship, not therapy. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or call the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988).

Our programming may involve emotional exploration, somatic practices, creative expression, group sharing, and immersive experiences. These activities may surface difficult emotions, memories, or physical sensations. You participate voluntarily and at your own discretion.

3. Membership & Donations

Membership in J.O.B. begins when you affirm the Doctrine (“I AM”) and create an account. Committed membership begins when you cross the Membership Threshold and make your first donation.

Donations:

  • All donations to J.O.B. Church are voluntary contributions to a 508(c)(1)(A) church
  • Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law
  • Recurring donations may be modified or cancelled at any time through your Donorbox account
  • We suggest sliding-scale amounts as a guide, but the specific amount is always your choice
  • Donations are non-refundable once processed, except at J.O.B.’s sole discretion or as required by law
  • Access to certain programming (Deprogramming tracks, Elder sessions) is available to Committed Members — those who have made the membership commitment and an active donation of any amount
  • No one will be turned away from J.O.B. solely for inability to pay. If the suggested amounts are beyond your means, contact us

Elder session fees:

  • Elder sessions may involve separate fees or suggested donations beyond your membership contribution
  • These fees compensate Elders for their time and are processed through J.O.B.’s platform
  • Session fees are non-refundable if cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time

Magic Shows & ticketed events:

  • Magic Shows and other experiential events may carry separate registration fees
  • Event fees are considered program fees, not charitable donations, and may not be tax-deductible. J.O.B. will clearly indicate the tax status of each payment at the time of purchase
  • Refund policies for specific events will be communicated at the time of registration

  • You are encouraged to maintain your own professional support (therapist, doctor, etc.) alongside your participation in J.O.B. programming

We will attempt to address concerns through conversation before resorting to removal.
  • Effect of termination. Upon termination, access to member-only programming (Deprogramming tracks, Elder sessions, the JOB Board) will be revoked. Donations already processed are non-refundable.
